In order to achieve its objectives in providing assistance to state institutions and pressuring decision-makers for the benefit of the nation and the citizen, RCD organized a symposium hosted the Minister of Interior, Mr. Qasim Al-Araji, to identify the challenges facing the work of the Ministry and the most important ways to face them. During the session entitled (Ministry of Interior: the Benefits of the Next Phase), which was attended by an elected group of members of the RCD, the Minister of Interior talked about many important axes in the work of the Ministry,  confirming that it  is still suffering from the scourge of corruption rampant in all state institutions. Al-Araji stressed that he is working to reduce the routine procedures in the departments of his ministry, which he described as "overburdening the Iraqi citizen and contribute to reduce his sense of citizenship." Members of the RCD made a series of important interventions related to customs problems, activating the role of the judicial investigator and facilitating the granting of entry visas to investors and how to psychological rehabilitation of federal police elements after the end of the war against ISIS and ensure the rights of martyrs and wounded. They also discussed the possibility of using modern security technologies such as cameras and satellites to fight terrorism and provide security for the Iraqi citizen. At the end of the meeting, the Minister expressed his pleasure at such meetings and assured to Mr. Zaid Al-Talaqani, chairman of RCD, his readiness to accept ideas, proposals and even criticism that can reach him through RCD's means.
