The delegation of RCD met with Mr. Jean-Jacques Brady, a member of the Security and Defense Committee and Chairman of the French-Iraqi Friendship Committee in French Parliament and in the presence of Ms. Stephanie Dobian, Head of the Middle East Section at the Center for Strategic Analysis at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. They talked about the role that should be played by the legislative institution as Mr. Braidi talked about the institutions of the French Parliament and how they were activated the role of these institutions. In this while, the members of the delegation expressed their comments on the importance of the Iraqi Council of Representatives to benefit from such experiences in strengthening its institutional role. Many topics of interest of Iraq were discussed, where an extensive dialogue was held on the importance of cultural and intellectual rehabilitation of the liberated areas of ISIS, and the elimination of the effects of extremist ideology that ISIS tried to instill in the children of those areas. Mr. Zaid Al-Talaqani, chairman of RCD, confirmed that RCD now devotes an important part of its dialogue activities to extrapolate the post-ISIS stage and how to deal with the impact of ISIS period on the Iraqi political situation.
