RCD held a symposium entitled (Ministry of Interior: Citizens and Institutions), lectured by Mr. Qassim Al-Araji, in presence of a group of political elites, security leaders and a number of members of parliament, academics and cultural elites. Al Araji stressed the need to build strategic relations with neighboring countries, which in return became looking forward to Iraq to take its role in the region based on its balanced relations with other countries and by the great victories over ISIS and the approach of liberating the entire cities of Iraq from clutches of terrorism. According to him, high coordination committees have been formed with neighboring countries to resolve some common issues such as fighting terrorism and exchanging convicts. The exchange of convicts will not include those convicted of terrorism cases. Al-Araji also addressed post-ISIS period, which he described as "sensitive and dangerous," pointing out the need to create a real partnership and mutual trust between the Ministry of Interior and the citizen to avoid the mistakes that occurred in previous phases.
