About:
Al-Rafidain Center for Dialogue RCD is considered one of the qualitative centers in Iraq, where active political, economic and academic elites are guiding influential visions in decision-making and public opinion.
RCD was established on February 1, 2014 in Najaf, which oversees the form of a virtual group in the electronic world comprising a small number of politicians, academics and intellectuals. Later, the idea evolved to become legalized by registering RCD in the NGOs department of the General Secretariat of the Iraqi Cabinet.
Today, RCD has more than 700 Iraqi members from all political orientations, academic disciplines and religious doctrines, as it can be likened to a "Mini-Iraq", in which everyone agreed to adopt dialogue as a key pillar to face the decade and problems, producing strategic solutions that harmonize with RCD's vision in building a prosperous nation. There are 30 employees from different disciplines working in the RCD's administrative departments.
In a short time, RCD was able to accomplish a wide range of achievements by harnessing different energies and employing its outcomes for the benefit of the Iraq, taking advantage of modern technologies in online communications with the elites in the decision-making, by passing the barriers of geography, time and security necessities that may hinder direct dialogue. RCD has not only communicated online, but has also held a series of activities on the ground, including a number of seminars, conferences, workshops and specialized dialogue sessions, including but not limited to: the development of the banking sector and the stock market, the development of national reconciliation projects, the settlement of parties and the mediation of crises between the Governments of the Center and the (Kurdistan) Region, improving the service sectors, eliminating administrative bureaucracy and red tape, achieving water and food security, as well as extrapolating many contentious files such as the constitution, oil, foreign affairs, public mobilization, border ports, investments, social welfare, etc.
