As part of RCD scientific  efforts, Chairman of RCD and members of the center’s scientific section have met with Heads of several European Universities in Spain and Italy. It was agreed to establish a joint coordination plan for the exchange of fellowships between Iraq and those Universities, which are:

1. University of Barcelona in the Spanish city of Barcelona

2 - Sapienza University of Rome in the Italian capital, Rome

3 - Universitat Autnnoma de Barcelona in Barcelona, ​​Spain

During the meetings that held at the headquarters of the Universities, the two sides agreed to establish training courses for Iraqi teaching staff, in order to raise the level of competencies commensurate with the size of scientific growth at all levels. It was also agreed to open joint units for translation between RCD and those universities, and the exchange of ideas to enhance the cultural movement in Iraq.

It is worth mentioning that RCD always works on opening channels of communication with the international civil society institutions in the fields of scientific research, strategic studies, exchange of visits and openness to the developed world countries, to support the relevant Iraqi institutions. The universities were also invited to attend RCD Security and Economic Forum, in Baghdad -September 2019.
