RCD Hosts the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Iraq in Najaf
The Turkish Ambassador to Iraq, Fatih Yildiz, took part in a symposium organized by RCD, and moderated by Dr. Farhad Alaaldin, member of the Board of Directors of RCD, under the title "Strategic Relations between Iraq and Turkey: a Vision of Turkey".
In the Symposium, the Ambassador said, “We believe that Iraq is the most important geographical neighbor for Turkey, and the Iraqi investment in Turkey is very productive and we encourage it".
“Turkey has developed in the last twenty years in the field of water management, and wants to transfer this progress to Iraq because we believe that this good land should invest in the agriculture correctly, and the volume of trade between Iraq and Turkey began to rise again but did not arrive to $13 billion so far, as it was before 2014, and we aspire to reach $20 billion, especially after solving the problem of customs” he added.
The ambassador appreciated the efforts of RCD for contributing in a convergence of views between the Iraqi political blocs and strengthen the bonds of the relationship between the parties, and expressed his thanks and gratitude for the good hospitality in Najaf.
