A Letter of Condolence
Unfortunately, We have received the tragic news of the vessel, and as we console our people in Mosul and share with them the pain of the loss of a group of our people in this dear province, we also call for the accountability of those who fail and cause this tragedy and bring them to trial. We demand an immediate investigation with all officials in the local government in Nineveh province to identify those who failed to follow the safety of water boats, and the lack of safety and emergency supplies as life jackets and others, which led to this disaster. We also urge the central government authorities to hold the contractors and tourist center owners responsibility of their greed and negligence in securing those tourist facilities that are supposed to have a high level of insurance and safety procedures.
We emphasize the necessity of monitoring and taking safety measures in all tourist facilities throughout the country, and in the various governorates of Iraq to ensure the safety and protection of citizens, the prevention of dangers and the activation of systems and precautionary practices to prevent further disasters.
Allah shall saves our people in Iraq, and mercy and peace will be upon the lives of the victims in Mosul, and inspire their families with patience and solace.
