Mr. Qubad Talabani, Vice President of Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), was hosted in the meeting of leaders of RCD Forum on February 4. In an interview moderated  by journalist Jane Arraf. Mr. Talabani said Kurdistan has changed positively over the past ten years, while the voices of freedom and expression heightened in addition to the opposition.

Mr. Talabani said that the results of the recent elections have brought us the message that people are dissatisfied with political parties and want the change, and there is a great challenge to change it, in turn, we must try to address the governance, discuss the private sector,  how to organize and restructure the next government, and how to learn from our mistakes, expressing his pleasure to see the improvement of Kurdish policy so that they start to discuss the agenda as well as programs that help to develop it. On the issue of the Kurds in Turkey, he said that they need dialogue and Iran as well, adding that the leadership must focus on a clear political vision and an effective roadmap because without it, there will be a conflict. On the approval of the parliament on the budget, Mr. Talabani said that it is a good parliamentary practice, especially for Kurdistan where the position of Kurdish parliamentarians unified in Baghdad, and this is a very important matter.

RCD Forum  gave a great  importance to the Kurdish issue. The opportunity to discuss these issues by a large number of thinkers, opinion leaders and political decision centers is an important step in Baghdad.

These discussions continue between the politicians -away from the lights and eyes of the observers- who shared concerns of Arab and Kurdish people alike in serious discussions and logical arguments. They  may take their way to the offices of decision-makers and find radical solutions to all those problems for the stability and prosperity of Iraq, which is one of the goals of the Forum and its objectives.
