RCD organized, in its headquarters in the city of Najaf, a discussion session under the title "The position of the Sunni Component in Iraq towards Change after 2003 to 2018" on Tuesday Nov 13, 2018, where Dr. Sidiq Khalil Salih, dean of Al-Imam Al-A'azam College, and the advisor of Sunni Endowment, gave a lecture attended by a selection of political, academic and intellectual figures.

Dr. Siddiq presented in his lecture a chronological analysis of the evolution of the political process in Iraq after 2003 and how other Iraqi components dealt with change, speaking about a set of features and differences that characterized the Sunni component from other ones in dealing with the new democracy. The advisor of the head of the Sunni Endowment also talked about series of steps and reforms that must be taken to avoid repeating the mistakes of the previous stage, such as rewriting reformulating the religious discourse, reconsidering the religious curriculum and history taught in Iraqi mosques and schools as well as thinking seriously about re-merge the Sunni and Shiite endowments under one name.

For their part, the participants put forward a series of ideas and initiatives, providing meaningful and constructive criticism of some of the practices and behaviors of many parties involved in the new political process.
