A meeting was held, at the headquarters of the British Embassy in Baghdad, between Al-Rafidain Center for Dialogue RCD's representatives constituted of Dr. Talib Muhammad Kareem and Mr. Baligh Abu-Gilal, members of RCD's Board of Directors, and Dr. Suhad Isma'il and Mr. Sabah Al-Karbouli, members of RCD’s Advisory Body and several members of the diplomatic staff of the British Embassy constituted of Mrs. Laura Giles, Officer of the International and Regional Relations Issue at the Embassy, Mr. Peter Howes, Officer of the Sustainable Development Programs at the Embassy, and Ms. Frances Enley, Officer of the Programs in the Stability and Reconstruction Department at the Embassy.
The meeting discussed several issues, most prominently the parliamentary elections that is to be held at the end of 2021, as well as the future of Saudi-Iraqi relations according to the new political realty in the region, prospects of Iraqi-Turkish relations and their importance, Iraqi relations with Egypt and Jordan, and the mutual strategic action between Iraq and UK.
