RCD Reaches Agreements to Establish Mechanisms for Exchanging Fellowships between Iraq and European Universities

In an effort by al-Rafidain Center for Dialogue RCD to boost Iraq's academic level and increase its scientific and educational expertise, Mr. Zaid al-Talaqani, RCD's director, and a delegation of several renowned Iraqi experts who represented RCD's academic core, visited several European universities in Spain and Italy to reach agreements to establish mechanisms for exchanging fellowships between Iraq and these universities, that is: University of Barcelona (Spain), Autonomous University of Barcelona (Spain), and Sapienza University of Rome (Italy). all parties agreed on conducting training sessions for Iraqi educational cadres to boost their academic level in proportion to the international advance in sciences. In addition, it was agreed to open translation units between RCD and those universities to facilitate the process of exchanging ideas, in order to support the cultural activity in Iraq.

It is noteworthy that RCD works tirelessly to open communication channels with international civil society institutions in the fields of scientific research and strategic studies in order to exchange visits and study the experiences of the developed world with an open mind to benefit from them in strengthening Iraqi public institutions. In addition the aforementioned universities were invited to attend RCD's Economic and Security Forum that is going to be held in September 2019.
