RCD Hosts Chairman of the NSC and PMF

Mr. Falih al-Fayyadh, chairman of the National Security Council NSC and chairman of the Popular Mobilization Forces PMF, visited the headquarters of al-Rafidain Center for Dialogue RCD in Al-Najaf al-Ashraf, where he met with RCD's director and members, in addition to the commander of Imam Ali combat division and several academics, public officials, security commanders, and clerics.

Dr. Abdul-Ameer Zahid, chairman of RCD's Council of Advisors, conducted a discussion with Mr. al-Fayyadh, in RCD's Sérgio Vieira de Mello hall, in which Mr. al-Fayyadh indicated that Iraq plays a central and advanced role in the security of the whole region and that international forums host Iraq for its importance in this field, reaffirming that Iraq did face bitter and difficult crises, but they did nothing other than empowering its national unity.

Additionally, Mr. al-Fayyadh tackled internal affairs and said that the political process keeps developing through multiple stages and that some commentators focus on the negative side, which could weaken Iraqis' morale and disrupt their ability to change, in parallel with foreign plots trying to break their will and spread despair and frustration among them, but these plots could not reach their goals because Iraqis kept betting on victory. Moreover, Mr. al-Fayyadh praised RCD for its important and pioneering position among other think tanks in Iraq and the whole region, asserting that public institutions should benefit from think tanks, especially RCD, for they succeeded in representing Iraq globally with their dynamic and energetic activities.
