Al-Rafidain Center for Dialogue RCD organized, at its headquarters in the holy city of Najaf, a discussion session entitled: "Sunni Component in Iraq Dealing with Changes after 2003 until 2018" on Tuesday, November 13, 2018. Where Dr. Siddiq Khalil Saleh, Dean of Imam Al-Azam College and Advisor to the Sunni Endowment Office, delivered a cultural lecture attended by an elite group of political, academic and intellectual personalities in the province.

Dr. Siddiq provided, in his lecture, a chronological analysis of the development of the political process in Iraq after 2003, and the way with which all Iraqi components have dealt with the change, speaking about several aspects and differences that distinguished the Sunni component from others in the way it deals with the new democracy. The Advisor to Sunni Endowment Office talked about a number of steps and reforms that should be done to avoid repeating the mistakes of the previous period, including those related to reframe the religious discourse, review the curriculum of religion and history taught in Iraqi mosques and schools, and consider seriously the reintegration of the two Sunni and Shiite endowments under one title.

From their part, the attendees expressed a number of ideas and initiatives, providing a meaningful and constructive criticism towards some practices and behaviours by many of the participated parties in the new political process.
