Arab-Israeli Normalization Attempts in Warsaw’s Conference: Palestinian Perspective
The ambassador Ahmad Aqel presented a historical view about the emergence of Israel and the causes of Arab-Israeli conflict, and the obstacles facing the peace process between Israelis and Palestinians, that were fundamentally due to the Israeli intransigence versus the Arab readiness for peace based on the Arab initiative adopted in Beirut Summit of 2002.
Regarding Warsaw conference, the ambassador Aqel clarified that the conference has failed to bring about a breakthrough in the Arab-Israeli relations, in which the “new beginning for normalization” promoted by some has not happened, and all that happened there was side and limited events in the back doors, away from the media.
The ambassador ‘Akl concluded by saying “that Palestinians need a support from each country of the region and the world, touching upon the Iraqi-Palestinian historical and good relations, as he described, emphasizing on the Iraqi support to the rights of Palestinian people, in addition to his position that is totally against the normalization.
