Future Prospects of Iraq-Netherlands Bilateral Relations Post-2003
RCD held a symposium titled " Prospects of the Bilateral Relations between Iraq and the Netherlands after 2003" at its headquarters in Najaf on Tuesday Jan. 22, 2019, where Mr. Matthijs Woltersthe, Dutch Ambassador to Iraq, delivered a lecture on the prospective relations between Iraq and the Netherlands, as well as the Joint cooperation in security, economic, cultural, and humanitarian aspects.
Mr. Matthijs Wolters said, during the symposium, that Iraq is an important country for us and we are trying to support the democratic process and help the Iraqi people for a better life.
He added that the Netherlands is working with Iraq to develop the agricultural sector; and it has setted up delegations for this purpose, and supporting the Iraqi youth economic capabilities especially there are a large group of young people with ideas worthy to be improved .
The Dutch Ambassador concluded the seminar with a press conference, in which he welcomed the initiatives of RCD, stressing the continuation of the Dutch side in attending scientific and research seminars for the interests of the two countries, and strengthening the relations between RCD and other research and cultural institutions in Netherlands .
