Under the heading "The Reform in Iraq: Political Reality and Internal and External Challenges", RCD organized a symposium at Babylon Hotel in Baghdad in the presence of Sayed. Ammar Al-Hakim, the leader of the National Wisdom Movement, where Sayed. Al-Hakim talked about the reform and its importance under the current situation in Iraq and the region. He stated that Iraqi people must be convinced with the government's actual actions to combat corruption through a clear performance within a firm and fast vision program, and that the political reform must be consistent with developments in Iraq. He also stressed the need to review the old legislations in line with the political development and the constitution.

He elaborated that one of the most important features of the desired reform is to be radical and serious with the continuation of its procedures as well as the specialization in its steps, based on the enthusiasm of the community in its endorsement through a political alliance of society bears responsibility through quick gains to reassure citizens. He pointed out to the importance of reviewing the structure of the state departments and institutions in a manner consistent with the steps of reform and overcome the rigid view of the mentality of the old administrative system of the state and unite efforts to bring about a real administrative and reformation revolution in the country.

At the session chaired by Dr. Farhad Alaaldin, member of the Board of Directors of RCD, Sayed Al-Hakim concluded  that “the opposition choice for the Reform and Construction Alliance is still exist and we have been monitoring the government performance carefully for six months and it takes more time to evaluate that performance”. “The real criterion for the success of the service program adopted by the government is the popular impression about the seriousness of the steps that it needs a firm will towards the desired reform”, he added.
