Weekly Dialogue Summery – 22nd Week
In addition, discussions were made on quota in the distribution of responsibility in the state, for being an administrative, political and ethical mistake; however, if it is inevitable and cannot be gotten rid of, then it can be less harmful with the application of the principle (take responsibility), and that is by holding the party financially and legally responsible for the corruption of those appointed by it in positions that it insists they are under its quota. Lastly, discussions were made about the repeated strikes of the American forces against the Popular Mobilization Forces, whose excuses are well known, revolving around denial, lying or under the pretext of suspicion and no intension, which is totally unreasonable.
Conclusions:
· There are inaccuracy and lack of discipline in the process of correcting the examination papers of the students of sixth grade preparatory, preceded by a leakage of the questions and the state’s inability to prevent this. This national problem has serious consequences on the future of Iraq.
· There is an escalation in the rhetoric inside the Iraqi political scene between the Islamists and civilians, while each side emphasized that its refusal to the other is partial and not total.
· Mosul’s inhabitants experience a state of isolation financially and morally due to the hardship resulted from the dark years of ISIS. This was reflected negatively on the social structure of citizens, in addition to the serious lack of the public services in Mosul.
· Iraq lacks independent media, as our media is ideologized and most of the satellite channels belong to political parties, which was reflected on the society and caused an intellectual coma due to the media messages that far away from facts and awareness.
· Iraq has the essentials of a sovereign nation that enable it to become an effective power within its regional surrounding and an axis of the political decision-making in the surrounding region at the very least.
Recommendations:
· The government must reform the education system at its various levels, as the outputs of that system are the human capital on which the structure of the state and society is based, and it defines the shape of the Iraqi nation in the future.
· To emphasize that the dialogue on itself can lead to a common ground. After all, neither Islamists can erase the civilians nor civilians can erase the Islamists. In this regard, RCD is ready to manage and organize a dialogue session that brings together the brothers of all parties for dialogue and convergence, for being an Iraqi dialogue ground that is neutral and unbiased.
· To tackle the field problems suffered by Mosul realistically and professionally, while staying away from the political projection and reassuring Mosul’s society that belongs to a united Iraq, as well as working to define the correct steps to restore the infrastructures of Mosul.
· Media professionals, activists and all related people must work to establish a highly professional media system that is neutral and credible, and has the ability to influence the public opinion in a positive way for the development and enlightenment of the society.
· Iraq must be an effective element again, in its regional surrounding, which needs a political and national will that works to achieve the factors of the social, political and economic success internally, then reflecting this regionally.
