Weekly Dialogue Summery – 50th Week
Some may respond to the above saying that the security contexts were not completely right, they cost the country a lot, and they were punctuated with many breaches. Despite the agreement with this proposal, the contexts of the security file have led to successful practical results within its workspaces, despite the chaos that prevails in the surrounding scene. The evidence to this is the transition of Iraq from a state of general security deterioration to the state of predominance and victory in general.
Conclusions:
· There is a big importance to the Kuwait Conference, as it was held after a critical stage through which Iraq went and got out of it with victory against the head of terrorism in the world.
· The Conference represents an opportunity for Iraq to benefit from the international expertise in all fields of economy, development and investment.
· The wide participation of the states and international organizations was an indicator to the importance and success of the conference, in addition to the local organizations and the participation of businessmen.
· The Donor Conference or the Conference for Reconstruction of Iraq through its name is like a window of hope for Iraq with the help of the international community to reconstruct what was destroyed by the war against terrorism.
· The conference results related to the sums collected to reconstruct Iraq were disappointing, most of which were loans, credit facilities and investments.
Recommendations:
· It is possible to benefit from the results of the Donor Conference in the international relations of Iraq, given its diplomatic success, which opens new prospects in the world.
· The Iraqi government and organizations must seize the opportunity of the conference by the communications of the organizations and international companies with those of the Iraqi private sector, aiming at the latter’s development and progress.
· The various participations of the states and international organizations for helping Iraq must be exploited within channels other than the developmental programs approved by the conference.
· The conference can be used as a mean to confirm the responsibility of the world’s states in the reconstruction of Iraq and supporting it, as it fought terrorism on their behalf.
· The success of Iraq in the reconstruction, the reactivation of the private sector, and the advancement of the development process must depend totally on the help of the other states, and this must be done by adopting the right planning and the optimal use of the country’s resources.
