Weekly Dialogue Summery – 57th Week
In addition, an analytical view was proposed about the improved relations between Iraq and the neighboring states, and whether this is the result of external factors due to the necessity that forced the regional states to move towards Iraq, or internal factors due to the improved government performance, or due to the improved performance of all political forces in their various affiliations?
Conclusions:
· The broader participation in the elections is vital for everybody, and it represents a big stab in the terrorism and violence and whoever wants the deterioration of Iraq in anyway.
· A huge decline in the education level in Iraq due to a shortage in the financial support for the educational sectors, and the decline of the performance of most teachers in the Iraqi schools.
· There is a social frustration among the individuals of the Iraqi society regarding the elections, their results, and their ability to change and correct the mistakes.
· There are information about preparations and plans to manipulate the upcoming elections, and some see that they are just rumors to influence the Iraqi public opinion.
· Iraq’s inability to benefit from the international economic opportunities and exploit them due to the internal problems suffered by the Iraqi economy.
Recommendations:
· The participation in elections must be wide and qualitative rather than quantitative, so that their outputs are good for the Iraqi people.
· It is the government and civil society organizations’ duty to correct the wrong track of the education in Iraq and to engage the international organizations specialized in that reform process.
· All the societal leaderships and the civil society organizations must launch an anti-campaign to the frustration and hopelessness suffered by the Iraqi society through raising the level of consciousness in the choosing process of the elections.
· The relevant government bodies, especially the oversight ones, must work to verify the information about manipulating the elections and take the proper measures to tackle this kind of serious issues.
· It is necessary to develop the concepts and foundations of the Iraqi economy work in accordance with the foundations of developed international economies in order to benefit from the international economic opportunities.
