Weekly Dialogue Summery – 68th Week
Some emphasized that we are living amid a political environment that lacks the resignation culture, as it is very rare that we have not heard about before, and we will not hear about it even if the situation became worse than it is now in Iraq. The leakage of the examination questions of baccalaureate to the sixth grade is one of the breaches that destroy the scientific basis of the country, and destroy the most importance class, namely the youth class, as the effects of the real mess that crossed the minds of Iraqi students due to the questions leakage will stay for several years, because the last year of the preparatory stage is conclusive in the life of the Iraqi students, defining their scientific direction for the rest of their academic and professional life.
Conclusions:
· Most of the voices diagnose the problems without effective solutions, which was reflected on the criticism culture that aims at merely criticize.
· Most of Iraqi politicians suffer from denial psychology, which is one of the common authoritarian characteristics among the Iraqi and the Arab community.
· The death sentence is still a political file in Iraq, while the terrorism victims have nothing but patience, waiting for the government to look into their interests as a damaged body because of terrorism.
· The most dangerous thing on democracy is to be exploited by the losing political class that work to transfer the political scene into a fighting ring, in which the biggest loser will be the people.
· The corruption became a part of the political life cycle. It took various forms and it is renewable and can be molded into new molds that are difficult to be fought.
Recommendations:
· It is necessary to promote a positive atmosphere in dealing with the problems of the government performance, and focus on the solutions more than focusing on the problems.
· It is necessary to promote the culture of apologizing and admitting mistakes in the environment of the political work, so that it will be at least an evidence to the good intention towards citizens, respecting them and giving attention to their opinion.
· It is necessary to adopt death sentence as a radical solution to the terrorist machine, and prevent the solution to be only political, as this leads to satisfy the terrorist bodies and fulfil their demands.
· It is the duty of the Iraqi law legislator to clarify the legal position of the voting of the Iraqi parliament members on essential issues during the last month of their parliament session.
· It is necessary to update the methods of fighting corruption, even the effective ones, so that they are a tool to keep up with the new methods used by the corrupted persons.
