Many topics were discussed during the week, including clarifications of the concept of the political party, which is defined, according to the academic studies in the political sciences, as a legal regulation seeks to reach the helm of power in the democratic systems, and practice governance according to a partisan political, social and economic program. Another definition is that the political party is a regulation practicing the democratic process inside the party by electing its members to take leading positions, and outside the party by participating in the elections in its different levels. The political party links, in general, a group of citizens adopting one political vision, which is the party’s visions, with the regime and the different tools of the state.

The above presentation matched some opinions calling for the recognition between the emergence of the so-called electoral groceries veiled with the concepts of the  parties and political mainstream in order to deceive the voters to get their votes and to walk away from them during the electoral cycle. In addition, the political parties were born in Iraq in abnormal conditions; therefore, they experience an exceptional situation, which has extended to the political approach in the political behavior and the interaction with the events.

Conclusions:

·         We can present an approximate classification of the political parties in Iraq through dividing them into growing parties and other aging parties.

·         The political partisan work in Iraq is centered on the classic traditional type that does not match the requirements of the political situation in the country.

·         Democracy in Iraq became disembodied, since it tend to the theoretical aspect that is not combined with an equal action on the ground.

·         The political parties currently represents the protective environment in which the political life is formed in the future more modernly.

·         The disorder of the entire political process and the work of the parties in Iraq continues, with a continued absence – as well – of solution signs to many of the country’s problems.

Recommendations:

·         It is important to create a harmony among the Iraqi political generations to establish a mixture that combines the political expertise with the ambitious directions of the political youth, aiming at improving the political environment in a way that serves the country.

·         The new generation must make its way in the Iraqi politics in order to establish itself in the political performance scene, which is highly dynamic.

·         The political discourses must not depend on logos as a main part, but rather the real discourse is an application of democracy within the practices of the work of government and Iraqi political parties.

·         It is the duty of the statesmen in Iraq to organize the political processes in the present in a way that provide a healthy environment, creating atypical solutions that fill the gaps left by the political parties.

·         The most important thing that must happen among the Iraqi political parties is the disclosure and dialogue in order to find solutions for all the outstanding problems.
