RCD Forum 2021 (Solutions)

This year, the modern Iraqi state reached its 100th anniversary amid serious challenges domestically, regionally, and globally, most noteworthy: results of October 2019 protests and early elections, with the government working simultaneously to face the economic challenges resulting from Covid-19 pandemic and low oil prices by adopting a new economic policy that adjusted exchange rates in addition to other reform measures, such as fighting corruption. Furthermore, new alliances and balances have emerged regionally, which was met by the Iraqi government with a policy of impartiality and openness towards all regional actors. Similarly, there were global changes that reflected an imminent change in the whole international order, and the possibility of the rise of new global powers that use the Middle East as an arena for influence and activity.

 

RCD Forum 2021 seeks to discuss solutions for the political, economic, and security aspects of Iraq's reality in  the domestic, regional, and global dimensions, with a deep trust in impartial dialogue and creative ideas as means to solve problems and introduce remarkable initiatives by enriching discussions, converging views, exchanging ideas and opinions about how to create a positive change in Iraq.

 

RCD Forum 2021 is going to host many notable figures from Iraq, the Arab world, and the whole world, varying from the top official offices to parliament members, top administrators, law experts, academics and researchers from renowned universities and think tanks in Iraq and the world, experts in governmental and non-governmental organizations, dignitaries from the private sector in Iraq and the whole world, and several experts and public officials.

 

Inauguration Ceremonies

RCD Forum 2021 is going to be held under the motto "Solutions" in (29-31 August 2021) at Babylon Rotana Hotel (Baghdad), and will be launched with inauguration ceremonies on (29 August 2021, 19:00) with speeches by top Iraqi officials, including: the president, the prime minister, and speaker of the parliament.

 

 

Objectives of RCD Forum 2021 (Solutions)

- Celebrating the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Iraqi state, and evaluating its course and the societal, political, economic, and cultural outcomes.

- Enriching national discussion about political, economic, and security issues that gained priority in the current stage, which is to be achieved via bringing together opinion leaders and decision makers, in addition to experts and academics specialized in the discussed subjects.

- Dialoguing about political and economic situations in the region and the whole world in light of the ramifications of Covid-19 pandemic and its regional and global effects.

- Providing a platform for exchanging ideas and promote cooperation between think tanks and research centers in Iraq and the whole world.

- Assertion that Baghdad is, and will remain as it was, a city for dialogue, peace, and finding creative solutions and ideas in a positive  and remarkable environment.
