Qubad Talabani, Vice President of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, met in Baghdad with a delegation representing Al-Rafidain Center for Dialogue RCD headed by Dr. Talib Muhammad Karim, a member of the Board of Directors of the Center. During the meeting, they discussed the overall political and economic developments in the country, in particular the relationship between the region and the center, and searched for solutions to outstanding problems.

Dr. Talib Muhammad Karim presented a review of the nature of the work of RCD and its role in promoting and prevailing the language of dialogue between the various political parties. Mr. Karim also declared RCD is preparing a paper that represents a basic initiative to resolve the ongoing crises between Baghdad and Erbil in the near future.
 
From his part, Mr. Talabani welcomed the delegation's visit to his residence in the capital, Baghdad, expressing his readiness to cooperate with any initiative in the interest of stabilization, continuing constructive dialogue and supporting the democratic model in light of a prosperous federal Iraq.
