Mr. Jeremy Parker, Director of the Middle East Working Group at the Religious Freedom Institute (RFI), gave a lecture at Al-Salam Hall at RCD, in the presence of Mrs. Leslie Dole, Deputy Director of the Strategic Resource Group (SRG).

Mr. Parker said that religious freedoms are linked to the extent of public freedoms in which a person lives, and that 80% of international conflicts are caused by religion, which makes us need civil peace and the renunciation of violence.

Mr. Parker added that religious freedom also means searching for truth in a religious society, while Ms. Leslie emphasized the principle of cooperation between the SRG and Al-Rafidain Center for Dialogue RCD in the field of scientific research and dialogue.

The meeting and session was attended by Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, Director of Al-Rafidain Center for Dialogue RCD, Dr. Abdul Amir Zahid, member of the Board of Directors of the Center, and a number of university professors and specialists in the field of interfaith dialogue.
