Al-Rafidain Center for Dialogue RCD holds a seminar on the anniversary of political change in Iraq after 2003
1- Professor Ghaleb Hassan Shabandar, researcher and thinker in political affairs
2- Sharif Ali Bin Al Hussein, patron of the constitutional monarchy movement in Iraq
3-Professor Iyad Al-Samarrai, the former Speaker of the House of Representatives
4- Dr. Amer Hassan Al-Fayyad, Dean of the College of Political Science at Al-Nahrain University
5- Dr. Talib Muhammad Karim, member of the board of directors of Al-Rafidain Center for Dialogue RCD.
First, Sharif Ali bin Al Hussein spoke, saying that it is necessary to know where we came from as a system that established this political process, and he focused on the American role in that. After that, Mr. Al-Samarrai gave a speech in which he explained the problematic of the complex relationship between Iraq and the United States of America, which views Iraq as part of the Middle East reform project, adding that Iraq should not boycott America.
As for Shabandar, he stressed the need for balance in relations between Iraq and various countries of the world, especially the major countries, and most importantly, before that, Iraq must possess the elements of a state. Then Dr. Fayyad spoke, saying that whoever does not accept the Iraqi present after 2003 does not accept the past before this date and vice versa, justifying that Iraq deserves better than the past and the present.
As for Dr. Karim, he spoke about the Iraqi community awareness before 2003, the spaces that became available after this year, and the amount of typical change. Dr. Ahmed Sami Al-Maamouri, director of the seminar, concluded by describing the seminar as scientific and useful, lasting 3 hours, and attended by dozens of people interested in various disciplines.
