Al-Rafidain Center for Dialogue (RCD) recently had the distinct honor of hosting Dr. Idris Al-Hani, a prominent Moroccan scholar and one of the most distinguished intellectual and cultural figures in the Arab and Islamic worlds. The event, a scholarly discussion entitled "Cultural Elites in the Arab World and the Dilemmas of Postmodernism," was held in the Al-Salam Hall at the Center's headquarters in the holy city of Najaf. The session, which attracted an elite academic audience, was moderated by Dr. Amer Al-Waeli, Director of the Research and Development Department at the Center.

In his discourse, Dr. Al-Hani addressed the complex issues confronting the intellectual elite within the Arab and Islamic spheres. He critically examined the profound impact of various ideologies and epistemological paradigms on Arab and Islamic thought and culture. Furthermore, the discussion explored the seminal ideas and propositions of leading thinkers in the Arab world, examining their influence and engagement with the intellectual currents of the postmodern era. Dr. Al-Hani also explored the most significant theses and concepts that have defined this period and their subsequent repercussions on Arab societies.

This symposium is a distinguished addition to the ongoing series of dialogues that Al-Rafidain Center for Dialogue (RCD) regularly convenes across a spectrum of disciplines, with a particular emphasis on the intellectual and cultural domains.
