Al-Rafdain Center for Dialogue (RCD) hosted the encyclopedic researcher Ali al-Nashmi in a dialogue session titled, "A Conscious Reading of Iraqi Memory in Light of Cultural Transformations in Iraqi Society." The session was moderated by Prof. Dr. Asaad Kadhim Shabib, Chairman of the Board of Advisors at the Center, and was attended by a distinguished and diverse audience from Iraqi society.

The session focused on several themes, including the factors contributing to the rise of ancient Iraqi civilizations, the relationship between Iraq and the flourishing of Islamic metropolises, and the importance of heritage in the civilization of Mesopotamia. The discussion also addressed the causes that led to the destruction of many archaeological sites in Iraq.

Other important topics were covered, such as the cultural transformations that occurred in Iraqi society before and after the founding of the modern state. This was alongside a focus on the subjects of identity, good citizenship, and the dissemination of a language of peace among contemporary Iraqi groups. The session included several interventions and questions from the attendees.

This session falls within the framework of the Al-Rafdain Center for Dialogue's (RCD) focus on cultural and intellectual aspects of Iraqi society. It aims to entrench the values of culture and thought and to inform the Iraqi people of the roles assigned to research centers in all matters related to cultural and national domains.
