Mr. Jeremy Barker, Director of the Middle East Action Team at the Religious Freedom Institute (RFI), delivered a lecture at the Al-Salam Hall in Al-Rafidain Center for Dialogue (RCD). The event was also attended by Ms. Lislie Dull, Deputy Director of the Strategic Resource Group (SRG).

Mr. Barker stated that religious freedoms are intrinsically linked to the broader space of public freedoms that individuals experience. He noted that 80% of international conflicts are religious in origin, which underscores the need for civil peace and the renunciation of violence.

Mr. Barker added that religious freedom also entails the pursuit of truth within a religious society. Meanwhile, Ms. Dull affirmed the principle of cooperation between the SRG organization and Al-Rafidain Center for Dialogue in the fields of scientific research and dialogue.

The meeting and session were attended by Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, Director of Al-Rafidain Center for Dialogue (RCD); Dr. Abdul Amir Zahid, a member of the Center's Board of Directors; and a number of university professors and specialists in the field of interfaith dialogue.
