RCD Holds Workshop on Leaders of Digital Transformation in Iraq

Following this, Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, the Executive Director of Al-Rafidain Center for Dialogue (RCD), delivered a speech in which he called for seizing the opportunity provided by digital transformation. He noted that it is bringing about comprehensive changes in economic and social institutions—including factories, educational and pedagogical institutions, and government bodies—as well as opening markets and creating new professions from which Iraqi youth can benefit.
Mr. Sherwan Anwar, Advisor to the Iraqi Private Banks League, stated that the Central Bank of Iraq and Iraqi private banks support projects that contribute to the growth of the national economy. These initiatives aim to empower aspiring youth, particularly leaders of digital transformation, under the banner of entrepreneurship, and to facilitate the granting of loans with low interest rates.
During the hybrid (in-person and online) seminar, a number of specialists intervened, pointing to the importance of activating this project. The project is a collaboration between the Central Bank of Iraq, the Iraqi Banks League, and the global platform, Coursera. Through this initiative, Iraqi youth can be guided to utilize the platform, which offers diverse lessons in professions, knowledge, and skills that can empower them to generate self-employment opportunities and launch their own enterprises.
