The seminar's moderator, Dr. Kamil Alawi, opened the session by reviewing the most significant shocks to the Iraqi economy in recent years, particularly after the ISIS occupation of nearly one-third of Iraqi territory, and their future impact. Following this, Dr. Al-Zubaidi provided an important explanation of the economic challenges that the next government is likely to face, summarizing them into several key points:

·        Population Growth

·        Poverty

·        Sustainable Development

·        Corruption

·        Water Scarcity

·        A Rentier Economy

·        Basic Services

Dr. Al-Zubaidi also addressed the available solutions to mitigate the economic crises affecting the country. He highlighted several key strategies:

·        Dismantling corruption in public institutions.

·        Adapting to the global transformation in professions and employment.

·        Reducing reliance on oil.

·        Positively investing in Iraq's significant youth demographic.

·        Putting plans and strategies into practice.

He concluded with other proposals and solutions, expressing hope that the next government will provide the necessary requirements for their implementation.
