RCD Hosts Palestinian Ambassador to Discuss Gaza Conflict

The Ambassador spoke on a range of topics concerning the Arab-Israeli conflict. He began with the roots and causes of the conflict at the level of colonial powers and the role of Israeli settlement activity in the oppression of the Palestinians.
Mr. al-Rowaidi pointed to the significance of Jerusalem in the Arab-Israeli conflict, describing it as an icon with symbolic, religious, and historical dimensions that the Israelis have sought to control by all means. He then transitioned to the latest developments in the Palestinian file, including the dimensions of the "Al-Aqsa Flood" operation and its impact on the internal Palestinian scene, as well as on the regional and international levels.
He stressed the importance of reaching a truce between the Palestinian side in the Gaza Strip and the Israeli side, and the influence of local, regional, and international actors in achieving this truce.
This seminar is part of the periodic sessions hosted by Al-Rafidain Center for Dialogue (RCD), aligning with its scientific and research activities and its mission to discuss the most prominent political, economic, social, cultural, and religious issues.
