RCD Holds Dialogue on the Contemporaneity of Islamic Thought

Al-Rafidain Center for Dialogue (RCD) hosted Professor Dr. Jaafar Najm Nasr, a professor of the Anthropology of Religion at Al-Mustansiriya University, in a discussion session titled, "The Contemporaneity of Islamic Thought." The event, held at the Center's Al-Salam Hall in Najaf, was moderated by Professor Dr. Abdul Amir Kadhim Zahid, a professor of postgraduate studies, and was attended by a distinguished audience of professors, academics, and intellectuals.

Dr. Jaafar Najm Nasr outlined the most important currents of contemporary Islamic thought, touching upon the intellectual movements that Iraq has witnessed in recent decades.
The significance of this session lies in its clarification of the currents of Islamic thought and the cultural and intellectual challenges they pose, both internally and externally, as well as in addressing the complexities facing contemporary Islamic thought. The session was enriched by a number of inquiries and interventions from the attendees, which added diverse dimensions to the discussion.
