Al-Rafidain Center for Dialogue (RCD) has announced the release of a new translated volume titled Cyber War & Peace: Digital Conflict in the Middle East .

Edited by Michael Sexton and Eliza Campbell, experts in cyber studies and law, and translated into Arabic by Hawraa Munther, the book offers a critical examination of the new digital battlefields emerging in the region.

The book posits that the world is witnessing a high-level technical revolution, increasingly supported by Artificial Intelligence. This evolution allows for the weaponization of vast amounts of data for malicious purposes, necessitating new countermeasures and fueling the outbreak of "Cyber Warfare."

Spanning nine chapters, the volume covers a range of strategic topics, including:

·        Historical Context: A historical overview of the development of cyberspace in the Middle East.

·        Industrial Sabotage: An analysis of cyber attacks targeting industrial infrastructure.

·        The Anti-ISIS Campaign: A detailed look at the United States' digital campaign to combat the Islamic State (ISIS).

This publication is part of RCD’s ongoing commitment to printing and distributing high-quality, rigorous academic research. By supporting scientific, intellectual, and cultural efforts in the country, the Center aims to provide deep insights into the technological threats shaping the future of national security.
