Al-Rafidain Center for Dialogue (RCD) has announced the publication of a new translated volume titled How the World Became Rich?

Authored by economic historians Mark Koyama and Jared Rubin, the book was translated into Arabic by Prof. Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi (President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University) and Riham Hassan Latif, as part of the Center's ongoing series of translated works.

The book tackles the pivotal question of global wealth creation from both scientific and social perspectives. It investigates the historical and institutional factors that led to the formation of wealthy nations.

·        The Great Divergence: Analyzing why some nations flourished and achieved prosperity while others remained trapped in poverty.

·        Modern Challenges: Offering insights into how historical lessons can be applied to handle contemporary economic problems facing the world today.

This publication serves as a vital reference for researchers and those interested in social and economic affairs, both within Iraq and internationally. It underscores RCD's commitment to publishing rigorous studies, translations, and articles to support the scientific, intellectual, and cultural development of the country.
