As part of its distinguished series of politico-cultural publications, Al-Rafidain Center for Dialogue (RCD) announces the recent release of Rebuilding Iraq: Reality, Foreign Relations, and the Dream of Democracy, authored by Ambassador Lukman Faily. A native of Baghdad, Ambassador Faily completed his higher education in England, where he earned a Master's degree in Business Administration. His notable career includes serving as Iraq's Ambassador to the United States and Japan, as well as holding the position of Spokesperson for the President of Iraq.

The book is a collection of essays and commentaries in which the author, a specialist in political affairs, presents his perspective on various aspects of Iraq's political life. In his analysis, Ambassador Faily draws upon two significant phases of his professional life: his tenures as ambassador to Japan and the United States. These experiences provided him with profound insights into state-building and the methods by which nations overcome adversity.

The book is organized into five distinct sections. The first section addresses democracy and construction, while the second examines the dynamics of nation-building and the variables that influence it. The third section is dedicated to studying the Iraqi political reality, and the fourth is devoted to Iraqi-American relations. The final section illuminates the foreign relations of the Iraqi state and its corresponding policies.

This publication highlights Al-Rafidain Center for Dialogue's (RCD) commitment to sponsoring the publication of important books and international works. This initiative is a cornerstone of the Center's scholarly activities, aimed at enhancing intellectual and cultural dynamism, disseminating knowledge, and reinforcing educational frameworks for human development.
