Al-Rafidain Center for Dialogue (RCD) has announced the publication of a provocative new study titled China and Technology Companies: Arms of Espionage and Sources of Digital Dominance.

Authored by Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi (RCD Executive Director), alongside Dr. Ahmed Amin and Dr. Karrar Anwar Al-Budairi, the book comprises three in-depth studies investigating the alleged involvement of major Chinese firms in global espionage.

The volume is divided into three critical sections:

1.     The State-Corporate Nexus: This study examines the relationship of "servitude and dominance" between the Chinese government and its technology sector, utilizing Huawei as a primary case study to illustrate how commercial entities can serve state interests.

2.     China's Hidden Eye: An investigation into the security risks posed by Chinese technology companies worldwide. It specifically highlights the role of telecommunications firms in Africa, analyzing their motives and the mechanics of their expansion.

From Partnership to Hostility: The final study analyzes the determinants of China's ascent toward a multipolar world. It traces the stages of China's economic evolution and provides a detailed review of the deteriorating relationship between Beijing and Washington.
