Al-Rafidain Center for Dialogue (RCD) has released a critical new publication titled Evaluation of the Iraqi Government's Performance During a Full Year 2022/2023.

Authored by a distinguished team of researchers—Prof. Dr. Kamel Allawi Kadhim, Prof. Dr. Abdul-Jabbar Ahmed Abdullah, Prof. Dr. Asaad Kadhim Shabib, Assist. Prof. Dr. Marwan Salem Al-Ali, and Retired Major General Dr. Imad Alou Al-Rubaie—the book offers a systematic assessment of the executive branch.

The study focuses on the government headed by Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' Al-Sudani, formed after a year-long political deadlock following the 2021 elections. It addresses the immense challenges the administration faced in implementing its ministerial program amidst conflicting political agendas, particularly in the realms of public services and daily life.

The book is structured around four primary axes:

1.     Political: The state of the political process one year after the government's formation.

2.     Economic: An analysis of financial and economic performance.

3.     Security: Evaluating the security landscape.

4.     Foreign Relations: A review of Iraq's diplomatic engagements.

The authors employ scientific methodologies to provide a neutral diagnosis, identifying both positive achievements and structural obstacles, free from political bias or calculation.
