Al-Rafidain Center for Dialogue (RCD) has announced the release of a forward-looking new book titled Green Policies: Redefining Progress in the Age of Artificial Intelligence.

Edited by Prof. Dr. Asaad Kadhim Shabib and Prof. Dr. Amer Abdul-Zaid Al-Waeli, the volume features contributions from an elite group of researchers and academics specializing in philosophy, the environment, technology, and digital governance.

The book presents a comprehensive critical vision of "smart sustainability," focusing on the emerging role of "Green AI" in combating environmental challenges and achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Spanning five chapters, the book aims to:

·        Balance Progress: Find a viable equilibrium between rapid technical advancement and environmental responsibility.

·        Ethical Awareness: Build a new scientific and ethical consciousness for employing AI to serve both humanity and the planet.

·        Global Standards: Ensure that its recommendations align strictly with UNESCO principles regarding the use of AI for the public good.
