He was accompanied by the political advisor at the Turkish Embassy, Mr Ogul Hasan Ozel, and Mr Fahd Zebari from the centre's Public Relations Committee.

During the meeting, they discussed procedures to support joint cultural and scientific projects, particularly in the fields of studies, research, development programs, and exchange of visits to improve Iraq's scientific and research endeavours. The two sides also discussed the most recent local and regional political developments.

Mr Kunay lauded the centre's repeated achievements through its international activities and forums, expressing his desire for greater coordination between the centre and Turkey's scientific and intellectual institutions.
