An interesting discussion session of a historical nature, in which the Vice President Dr. Ayad Allawi talked about the historical relations between the Middle East s countries and the wind of change that has swept the region. He also spoke about the importance of considering urgent constitutional reforms to address the imbalance in the current political process and the problems between the Center and the Region.

An economically oriented symposium in which governor of the Central Bank Mr. Ali Al-Allaq reviewed the development in the Central Bank work, the political monetary challenges it faces, and the economic reformation process under the current deficit in the budget, and the debts problem and the high operational expenditure.

RCD held a symposium entitled “Future Vision and Implementation Obstacles” at its headquarters in the holy city of Najaf. During the symposium, the Minister of Housing, Construction, Municipalities and Public Works, Mr. Bengin Rikani, said that one of the most important reasons behind the failure of the projects is corruption, rubbery, mismanagement and the lack of respect by some citizens and officials to the money and properties of the state, which weakened the application of law. He also said that most plans and projects of construction date back to 1940s and 1950s, and there are design mistakes committed by the advisory offices at the universities.

A youth dialogue session in the presence of the Advisor to the Prime Minister of Youth Affairs, Dr. Ali Al-Attar, and Mr. Issam Al-Diwan, Senior Deputy Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports. The session addressed the important aspects of youth reality and the challenges related to the unemployment problem and the proposed solutions to solve it.

A detailed professional review by Mr. Mohammed Shaya al-Sudani, the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, about the plans and procedures related to the policy of poverty alleviation adopted by the Iraqi government in cooperation with the International Bank, with a read in the future remedies to activate the private sector and reduce the rate of unemployment among young people.

An interesting historically oriented session in which Sheik Abdul Halim Al-Zuhairi, a leader in Dawa Party, reviewed the history of Islamic political movements in Iraq and the challenges that these movements faced at the beginning. He also reviewed the relations of these movements with their counterpart movements in the region and the shifts that have occurred to them.

RCD organized an intellectual seminar entitled (Socio-Political Dimensions of Contemporary Religious Thought) at its headquarters in the holy city of Najaf in November 26, 2018. Where Prof. Dr. Nazla Jabouri, Chairman of Baghdad Sufism Forum, and Mr. Taleb Issa, Manager of Baghdad Cultural Center, and Prof. Eng. Dr. Muhamad Al-Wadeh, Chairman of Faid Cultural Forum, and Sheik Farhan Al-Saidi, Advisor at RCD, attended the mentioned seminar.

Intellectual remedies with Dr. Aqeel Al-Khazali, Iraqi Senior Undersecretary Minister of Interior, provided a clarification of the term Sustainable Security and how it is to be formulated in the future as an alternative to the wasted security, with a professional review of some strategic solutions taken by the ministry to solve the problem of insecurity in Iraq.

A scientific symposium in the presence of Dr. Hussain Al-Shahristani, Former Deputy Prime Minister, and Mr. Adel Abdul-Mahdi, Former Vice President, about the most important problems and obstacles facing the economic sector in Iraq and the possible solutions. In addition, the symposium reviewed the important and essential points related to the Iraqi economy, and the ways to enhance it.
