A detailed review presented by the secretary general of Asa'ib Ahl Al-Haq Movement Sheik Qais Al-Khazali about the most visible threats that faced Iraq in the last period, the reasons of the victory of Iraqi people and defeating ISIS, commending the authority s stand declaring the sacred Jihad Fatwa and the upcoming role of the Popular Mobilization Forces in the political process.

A frank session in the presence of Mr. Mahdi Al-Allaq, Secretary General of the Council of Ministers, and some advisors to the Prime Minister. In the session, they addressed the most prominent challenges that faced the government of Dr. Haider Al-Abadi in the militant, economic and service fields, pointing out to the appropriate plans and solutions developed in that context.

A detailed presentation provided by the British ambassador to Iraq Jon Wilks about the priorities of the British government in Iraq, based on the economic and militant cooperation, fighting against the extremist thoughts, discussing the importance of consolidating the citizenship concept and bridge the gaps between the components of one homeland.

RCD held a dialogue session, in which ambassador Lukman Al-Fili, Head of America Department at the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, delivered a lecture in the presence of specialists in the political and international field, alongside a group of researchers and followers.

The Turkish Ambassador to Iraq Fatih Yildiz delivered a lecture during the symposium organized by RCD, moderated by Dr. Farhad Alaaldin, Member of Board of Directors of RCD, entitled “Iraq-Turkey Strategic Relations: Turkish Perspective” at RCD’s headquarter in the holy city of Najaf. He said that the geographic proximity was fundamental for growth and development in European states, while some consider it as a negative component in the Middle East region at present. He elaborated that “we believe that our proximity with Iraq is the most important geographic proximity for Turkey, and we believe that investment in Turkey is very fruitful and we are working to encourage investment there from Iraq and North America with guarantees and support by the state in all the stages of the work.”

An interesting political discussion in the presence of the Iranian Ambassador to Iraq Mr. Iraj Masjedi about the close relations between the two countries on different levels, such as the bilateral cooperation for defeating ISIS and the Iranian desire in the reconstruction, as well as the discussion about the most visible problems between the two countries as the water problem.

At RCD in the holy city of Najaf, a dialogue session was held, entitled “Iraq and EU: Prospects for Partnership and Reconstruction,” moderated by Dr. Farhad Alaaldin, Member of Board of Directors of RCD.
