Al-Rafidain Center for Dialogue (RCD) has held its first annual forum, at Al-Rashid Hotel hall, entitled “The Opening of RCD Forum 2019 - Baghdad”. The forum has addressed most salient issues on Iraqi, regional and international scene. The leaders of the country and representatives of diplomatic missions have attended the forum, in addition to an elite group of academics, writers, politicians and knowledge workers of all disciplines. Mr. Zaid Al-Talqani, Chairman of RCD, has initiated the forum work with an address, in which he commended the efforts exerted to hold the forum, confirming that Baghdad has returned to discuss important and significant matters in Iraq and the region, something that had been impossible in the past. In addition, he has stressed the value of dialogue in boosting the democratic experience and its importance to reconcile points of view that in turn contribute to maturate a vision to build a well-founded state.
