In his participation in the opening of RCD Forum 2019 in Baghdad, attended by a group of high-ranking state officials and representatives of diplomatic missions to Iraq, and foreign delegations, Mr. President of Iraq Republic Dr. Barham Saleh has emphasized the importance of holding this forum and its role in supporting dialogue and boosting the democratic experience. He has also emphasized the role of Iraq in influencing overall situation of the Middle East, especially after the great victory over ISIS, expressing his appreciation, at the same time, for the sacrifice of Iraqi people in defeating this terrorist organization. His Excellency has also commended the role of such events in highlighting the value of Baghdad and its role in formulating an impression that eliminates the fear factors and doubts of its ability to play major roles in the region. In addition, he has stressed the need for Iraqi leaders to unify their word and work together to promote the public interest, and improve the reform and development projects to move the country forward.
