During the events of the RCD Forum 2019 - Baghdad; A dialogue session was held with the Sheikh Khamis Al-Khanjar, Secretary General of the Arab Project in Iraq, in which the Sheikh spoke of the most important issues that would reduce political tension, and move the country towards stability and reconstruction.

Al-Khanjar believes that the policies of exercising power, and government performance necessitate moving away from exercising them based on the mentality of the opposition, and that the participation of all forces in governmental work, is one of the most important focus points, because it is considered to be one of the pillars of building democracy. And he noted that developing an integrated strategy to confront corruption, is a necessity. In addition to that, he pointed that we should benefit from the experiences of other countries in this context.

From another approach; “Al-Khanjar” stressed the necessity of preparing a new vision for the reconstruction of the liberated areas, taking into consideration the requirements of the post-liberation process, and calling, at the same time, for the return of the IDP to their homes, as well as the release of the internees. In addition to that, he also noted that the citizens should be able to experience safety by removing all military build-ups from the cities.

The Sheikh Al-Khanjar also emphasized the necessity of transforming the PMF into an integrated national organization, in addition to his call for community participation, alongside the military establishment, in achieving security and preserving it.
