Weekly Dialogue Summery – 26th Week

Within the dialogue of the last week, some inquired about the Kurdish media campaign; is it meant for promoting the referendum or offending Iraq? Especially that it is expanding in its range and becoming more cruel in its vocabulary with the approach of the referendum. While some demanded the President of the Republic and all the politicians to describe their position on Kurdistan referendum, others emphasized the necessity to maintain friendly and constitutional relation with the Region. Also, there was a discussion about the term of office of the Prime Minister Dr. Haider Al-Abadi, stressing that he succeeded in managing the military file, the defeat of ISIS, making a good use of the international support to Iraq, and harmonizing between the Iraqi bodies who fought ISIS.

Weekly Dialogue Summery – 25th Week

Iraq was the (eastern gate) for eight years, and it still fights terrorists on behalf of the world since 2003 until now. Iraqis are fighting for years outside their countries according to the will of other states. Is the Iraqi blood dedicated to its neighbors? When will the Iraqis place the interest of their country above all? These Iraqi sacrifices are still combined with significant deterioration in the Iraqi reality on all levels.

Weekly Dialogue Summery – 24th Week

Tal Afar is the conclusion of the victories, and the next is the victory against corruption. Due to the seriousness of the corruption problem, RCD has focused on this subject and proposed it for discussion more than once. Within the same context, some pointed out to a number of parliament’s members who took bribes in return for the withdrawal of their signatures that were in favor of questioning some ministries.

Weekly Dialogue Summery – 23rd Week

Parties building or state building? A question raised by RCD’s administration within the weekly dialogue theme, to which there were varying answers. Some defined the importance of the State as the ultimate objective, while parties building is a tool to achieve the effective national program. Others see that parties were established to build themselves, which weakened the state so much. Others think that the last period had neither building of a state nor building of strong and credible parties, but rather building of individuals within those powers on the expense of the homeland and the parties to which they belong.

Weekly Dialogue Summery – 22nd Week

With dialogue and affection, we build the homeland, and one of the prospects of reconstructing the national economy is Iraq’s adoption of external sovereign bond in the capital market at the beginning of this August under the name (Furat), guaranteed by the government of the Republic of Iraq, and the bonds were exhausted within only two days of their presentation in the market, and this reflects the extent of confidence Investors in the future of the Iraqi economy.

Weekly Dialogue Summery – 21st Week

We start the summery of this week by commending the executive order issued by the Prime Minister Dr. Haider Al-Abadi to allocate plots of lands in specific residential locations for the relatives of the martyrs of the armed forces in all their varieties including the Popular and Tribal Mobilization forces as well as the Peshmerga. Some commented on this saying that the administrative routine and its complications prevent any progress in the distribution procedures.

Weekly Dialogue Summery – 20th Week

During the last week, RCD’s dialogue focused on the importance of the Independent Commission for Human Rights and its powerful influence and association with many privileges and facilities given to Iraq internationally. Within the same context, some emphasized that the political parties look to the Commission as a mean to gain loyalties and provide positions to its members. Others see that the election results of the Independent Commission for Human Rights is an evidence of the illusion of reform and the deeply rooted corruption of the political class.

Weekly Dialogue Summery – 19th Week

The dialogue started with an emphasis that the diplomatic power is mightier than the force of arms, and this diplomacy needs several factors that Iraq does not have now. Discussion was also made about the state’s prestige and the importance to preserve and support the legitimacy and reject all that is out of the state’s framework and refuse to recognize it.

Weekly Dialogue Summery – 18th Week

“We won, thanks to your Fatwa”; however, the continuity of this victory should be preserved through unifying all Iraqi components who must prove their affiliation to the homeland at the crossroads, and through the call for honoring the martyrs and allocating salaries to their relatives. Also, some highlighted one of the Iraqi constitution weaknesses, which is a huge mistake committed by the one who wrote it; namely, dealing with Iraqis in the language of the component rather than on personal rights basis, since the collective rights, whether based on ethnic or religious grounds, will establish intangible boundaries among the components of the future generations, making their division so easy.

Weekly Dialogue Summery – 17th Week

This week, we start our dialogue about the boycott of Brussels International Conference by the Christian parties who said that it does not meet the ambitions of people of Nineveh Plains, and some point out to the differences of opinions of the Christian component, and that Kurdistan Region supports the project of establishing a province or Region in Nineveh Plains.
