Can elections be manipulated”? Despite the glimmer of hope sent out by these elections to millions of Iraqis, some see that they can be manipulated, and that the use of electronic mechanisms can facilitate this and make it more accurate and confident, as the automated manipulation can be done by numbered people that do not exceed the fingers of one hand. Also, for the voting audience to realize the nature of the automated manipulation will take long period that can be compared to the period of understanding the political experience during the last 15 years.

When will the candidates for the elections understand this concept, especially with the spread of the social media among the individuals of Iraqi society? Also, the personal knowledge of the candidate on which the voters base their expectations of the candidate’s behaviors has the biggest role in the voter’s choice.

Weekly Dialogue Summery – 57th Week
We are a few days away from elections that will be held soon and will draw the form of the legislative and executive authorities for the next four years. In return, many things have changed, including the defeat of ISIS and the increasing frustration of people towards the political reality, in addition to the positive changes represented in the improved relations between Iraq and the regional states, and overcoming the referendum crisis between the Center and the Region. All these changes must be taken into consideration by whoever plans to govern Iraq in the next stage.

One of the phenomenon that spread in the Arab states and Iraq is the partial realization of politics, caused by the cultural decline, the expansion of the culture of the initial ideological fall and the strive for building the individual financially on the expense of the scientific, social and national values. During the last 15 years, the phenomena of the intellectual perversity was crystalized and led by targeted media networks. We find in Iraq that confiscation of Iraq’s wealth is justified as a mean to transform Iraq into a developed country without any guarantees to achieve this.

Weekly Dialogue Summery – 55th Week
Despite all the calls for the unification of Iraqi people, the hate speech is spreading continuously and significantly in the political community, which was reflected negatively on the Iraqi society. The vast amount of hatred can be easily noticed in the communications between the Center and the Region lately. The Iraqi politicians are better to stay away from such communications and adopt a common sense represented in the dialogue and the documented agreements, preventing the societal divergence resulted from the political disagreements.

There are more than 700 thousand students in the governmental university education in Iraq, who form an important electoral force; however, it is unfortunate that most of those students are victims of the policies of media and social media that consolidate the sectarian and racist industry, whether directly or implicitly.

Iraq’s strength is in its demographic diversity; but unfortunately, this advantage has turned into a weakness due to the emergence of nationalistic racism cases inside the Iraqi society because of the interference of politics in changing the cultural courses of the segments of society. Also, some see that the main victims of those who call for globalization, secularism, civil movement and civilian organizations are the Iraqi audience, especially the educated class. The access to the phenomena of logos without realizing the legal reality and the social education of such calls whose purpose is to display linguistic banners for political gain is abstracted from any practical or scientific means in the society.

Weekly Dialogue Summery – 52nd Week
Personification is one of the biggest problems in Iraq: the upcoming elections is the main concern of all Iraqi politicians, overlooking the situation in Kurdistan Region that needs a reasonable treatment by the two sides, namely the Center and the Region. Also, most of the internal and external attention is still on who will be the Iraqi Prime Minister for the next electoral cycle, which produces a personification of the issues in the Iraqi scene without finding solutions for them.

Victories are possible in economy, just like the ones achieved against terrorism, so that politics can make and implement the right decisions in conditions that are full of internal and external opposites, in which the decisions are overlapped and disrupted. To achieve practical steps towards development, construction, investment, providing services, fighting unemployment and increasing the GDP, and with the adoption of the principle of reciprocity, we can benefit from the security experience and its success in the reform of economy issue.
